2. Is there a trope you’ve yet to try your hand at, but really want to?

This year to expand my writing skills and force myself to work outside of my comfort zone I actually have a Trope Bingo Card. I even wrote a couple of stories for tropes I never considered trying to write previously. I would still like to try Transformation. I have an idea to change Elizabeth into a cat – of course it would be Neal’s fault and Peter is allergic to cats. Don’t know if I’ll ever write it, but I think it would be challenging and would be slightly cracky.

15. If you could choose one of your fics to be filmed, which would you choose?

The story I would choose is one sitting in my WIP’s – I’ve been working on for about a year. It is about the Burke Seven coming together again to save one of their own. This is the closest story I’ve tried to write to White Collar itself. It is a case story and my current issue is the ‘heist’ – I am just not happy with how it is coming together and since the con sting is always a main part of the story on White Collar I want it just right.

19. Stephen King once said that his muse is a man who lives in the basement. Do you have a muse?

Don’t know if I would call it a muse, but it seems that if I have an episode of White Collar on, suddenly ideas start coming into my head. Or sometimes I hear or see something and think, oh that would make an interesting idea.

9. Which fic has been the hardest to write?

Pearly Gates was the hardest and quickest to write. I saw the artwork and the story got into my head and it just didn’t leave me alone. However I had never tried to write anything like it previously so I struggled with it. Some of it is over the top on the h/c and angst – things I will need to work on in the future.

11. Is writing your passion or just a fun hobby?

My writing is somewhere between a hobby and a passion. Right now it is more hobby just because I lack the time I really want to spend writing. I keep wanting to take an hour or so each day to write, but it never seems to work out, there is always something else that needs my attention. Maybe someday I will get to spend more time writing.

21. How many times do you usually revise your fic/chapter before posting?

I am constantly rewriting, my insecurities seem to take over and run rampant before I post. I have probably rewritten some stories five or six times because I am constantly seeing something I want to change – probably not a good idea since I tend to overthink what I am writing.

1.    Describe your comfort zone—a typical you-fic.

My comfort zone is fluff and romance – those are my favorites to write. It is also the easiest for me to write so I am always trying to stretch my writing abilities.
However I enjoy reading just about anything from fluff to AU, to h/c. Basically I love the WC characters so much I enjoy just about everything written by fans – we all have our own viewpoints, but ultimately it is how much we come together because of these wonderful creations.

7. Share a snippet from one of your favorite pieces of prose you’ve written and explain why you’re proud of it.

This would be the entire dialogue in You’ve Got Mail – I just love how this came out, no one seems to over the top and it still shows how even with distance between them El knows her husband well enough to understand he would slowly being driving people insane in his obsession to find Neal. This was such a surprise to me when I wrote it. It was for the epistolary square on my Trope Bingo Card – I remember seeing the square and panicking – what was I going to do with this?  But once I started writing I love how it all came together.

28. Share three of your favorite fic writers and why you like them so much.

There are so many wonderful writers out there who I enjoy – <sholio> is one of them, whenever I see that she was written a new story I immediately download it so I can read it over and over again – she has an uncanny way of keeping the characters true no matter what setting she puts them in.

<aragarna> is another favorite – I love her Peter and El stories – I can’t get enough of them. She has lots of love for these two and it shines through in her fiction.

<angelita26> is another author I always look forward to reading. Her Bookstore AU surprises me in so many ways – I was never much on RPF but this one is so seamless. She is wonderful at her details in her stories, it is easy to sit and picture the scene playing out in front of you.
